(Forelines) – In Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, Russian strikes killed two people and injured ten more, including four children, Governor Ivan Fedorov stated Wednesday, according to Reuters report.
According to Fedorov, quoted by Reuters that Russian soldiers attacked 16 communities in the area 567 times in the 24 hours leading up to Wednesday morning. Russia initiated a war against its smaller neighbor in February 2022, and Zaporizhzhia has been fighting on the front lines of that conflict.
According to Reuters, citing Fedorov wrote on the Telegram messaging app that at least nine buildings in the Zaporizhzhia municipal region alone had been demolished by the early morning strikes.. The administrative hub of the bigger area is Zaporizhzhia City.
“Emergency services continue to respond on the ground,” Ivan Fedorov stated, cited by Reuters.
Reuters claims that it was unable to independently verify the article. Russia refrained from commenting right away.
Both sides dispute that their attacks on one another’s territories are directed against people. Nonetheless, the vast majority of the thousands of civilians killed in the battle were Ukrainian, Reuters added.
