(Forelines) – On Monday, Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, called Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to India’s PMO statement.
Regarding his conversation with US President Donald Trump in Alaska last week, President Putin conveyed his thoughts.
The Prime Minister thanked President Putin and emphasized India’s steadfast support for diplomatic and dialogue-based peaceful dispute resolution. He reaffirmed India’s support for any initiatives in this area.
In an effort to further solidify India and Russia’s Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership, the two presidents also discussed a variety of bilateral cooperation topics.
The two leaders decided to be in constant communication.
“Thank my friend, President Putin, for his phone call and for sharing insights on his recent meeting with President Trump in Alaska. India has consistently called for a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict and supports all efforts in this regard. I look forward to our continued exchanges in the days to come,” PM Modi said in a post on X.
Russian President Putin offered condolences on the catastrophic consequences on the current flooding in India.
