(Forelines) – As part of the government’s strategy to gradually normalize relations between China and India, the two nations’ civil aviation authorities have been holding technical-level talks on a revised Air Services Agreement and the resumption of direct air services since earlier this year.

After these discussions, it has been decided that, provided the designated carriers from China and India make a commercial decision and meet all operational requirements, direct air services between designated points in China and India can resume by late October 2025, in accordance with the winter season schedule.

People-to-people interaction between China and India will be further facilitated by this agreement between civil aviation authorities, which will help to gradually normalize bilateral contacts.
