The Israel Defense Forces reported on Monday that, during a routine operation in Syria, Israeli soldiers discovered the rotor head of an Air Force helicopter that crashed in Syria during the Yom Kippur War. The “Hatsara” helicopter crashed on April 27, 1974, whille on a mission to rescue injured paratroopers.The six crew members who lost their lives in the accident were later returned to Israel for burial.
