(Forelines) – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the 48th meeting of PRAGATI, the multi-modal, ICT-enabled platform that aims to promote Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation by smoothly integrating the Central and State governments’ activities, earlier Wednesday at South Block, India’s PMO said in a press release
The prime minister inspected a number of important infrastructure projects in the fields of water resources, railroads, and mining during the meeting. These initiatives, which are essential to both public welfare and economic progress, were examined with an emphasis on deadlines, interagency cooperation, and problem solving.
The prime minister emphasized that delays in project implementation result in both increased costs and delayed access to infrastructure and critical services for citizens. In order to turn opportunity into better lives, he advised policymakers at the federal and state levels to use a results-driven strategy.
PM Modi called all States to expedite the development of health facilities, with a particular focus on Aspirational Districts, as well as distant, tribal, and border areas, during a review of the Prime Minister-Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM). He called for immediate and persistent measures to close current gaps in vital health services throughout these areas and underlined the need to guarantee the impoverished, marginalized, and underserved communities fair access to high-quality healthcare.
In order to deliver high-quality healthcare and services, the prime minister emphasized that PM-ABHIM offers states a fantastic chance to improve their primary, tertiary, and specialized health facilities at the block, district, and state levels.
The Prime Minister Modi examined the excellent efforts made by different Ministries, Departments, and States/UTs to promote Aatmanirbharta in the defense industry. He praised these efforts for their strategic importance and ability to encourage innovation in the defense industry. The Prime Minister emphasized their wider significance by pointing to Operation Sindoor’s accomplishment, which was carried out using domestic resources, as a potent illustration of India’s growing defense industry independence.
The prime minister Modi also emphasized how the states may take advantage of this chance to fortify the ecosystem and support Aatmanirbharta in the defense industry.
