(Forelines) – On September 10, 2025, while visiting New Delhi, Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met with Reem Al Hashimy, the UAE’s Minister of State for International Cooperation. The visit was a sequel to the Foreign Secretary’s recent trip to the United Arab Emirates on June 10, 2025, India’s External Affairs Ministry said in a statement.
The whole range of the multifaceted India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership was reviewed by the Foreign Secretary and the UAE Minister of State. This includes the sectors of politics, trade and investment, energy, defense and security, education, consular relations, culture, and people-to-people relations.
They evaluated the execution of significant decisions made during high-level meetings and exchanges, as well as the numerous ongoing projects in various areas of bilateral cooperation. They also discussed topics of mutual interest on a regional and worldwide scale.
Strong people-to-people links have always supported the tight and cordial relations between India and the United Arab Emirates.
The UAE is home to a thriving Indian diaspora of more than 4.3 million people. In FY 2024–2025, India and the UAE’s bilateral trade totaled $100.05 billion.
Frequent high-level visitation between the two parties fosters a solid bilateral connection and creates opportunities for partnership expansion across all domains.
