(Forelines) – India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, met with People’s Republic of China Vice President Han Zheng on the fringes of the SCO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Beijing, according to India’s Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.
“Pleased to meet Vice President Han Zheng soon after my arrival in Beijing today,” India EAM Jaishankar said in a post on X.
“Conveyed India’s support for China’s SCO Presidency,” Jaishanker added.
“Noted the improvement in our bilateral ties. And expressed confidence that discussions during my visit will maintain that positive trajectory,” he further stated.
India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar visited Singapore and the PRC from July 13 to July 15, 2025.
As part of the frequent interactions between our two nations, the EAM had previously met with his counterpart and Singapore’s leadership in Singapore.
In order to attend the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (CFM), which was held in Tianjin, the EAM then traveled to the People’s Republic of China. The India’s EAM Jaishakar further had bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the CFM.
