(Forelines) – On July 13, 2025, Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar traveled to Singapore, according to India’s Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.
India’s EAM met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade & Industry Mr. Gan Kim Yong, as well as Singapore’s President Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Foreign Affairs Minister Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan.
They discussed developments in the areas of investments, industrial parks, semiconductors, infrastructure, skill development, and connectivity, as well as the results of the Prime Minister’s visit and the second round of the India Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR). They also discussed world events, the Indo-Pacific, and ASEAN.
The former Senior Minister, Coordinating Minister for National Security, and Chairman-designate of Temasek Holdings, Mr. Teo Chee Hean, was also met by EAM. They talked about the changes taking place in India and Temasek’s chances to increase its investments there.
“The visit is part of continued high-level exchanges between two countries and reflects the importance India attaches to its relations with Singapore,” India’s MEA said.
