(Forelines) – At the invitation of U.S. Secretary of State Mr. Marco Rubio, India’s External Affairs Minister (EAM), Dr. S. Jaishankar, will visit the United States of America from June 30 to July 02, 2025, to attend the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (QFMM), scheduled for July 1, 2025, according to India’s MEA said in a press release.
The discussions from the previous QFMM, which took place in Washington, D.C., on January 21, 2025, will be expanded upon by the Quad Foreign Ministers, added in a Press release.
They will address regional and global concerns, particularly those related to the Indo-Pacific, and evaluate the progress of several Quad initiatives in the run-up to the Quad Leaders’ Summit, which India will host. It is expected that the Ministers would also talk about new approaches to advancing the shared objective of an open and free Indo-Pacific, as per India’s MEA.
Additionally, EAM will unveil an exhibition at the UN Headquarters in New York titled “The Human Cost of Terrorism” on June 30, 2025. The horrific number of terrorist incidents that have taken place all over the world and the efforts made by the international community to combat terrorism will be the main topics of the show, India’s MEA added.
