Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Urban Development Year 2025, Gujarat’s urban development plan and State Clean Air Programme in Gandhinagar on Tuesday, remarking 20 years of the Urban Development Year 2005.
Gujarat’s Urban Development Year 2005 was a flagship initiative launched by the then Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi with the intend of transforming urban landscape of Gujarat through better governance, planned infrastructure and improved quality of life for urban residents.
PM Modi will further inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several projects connected to health, urban development and water supply.
PM Modi further dedicated over 22,000 dwelling units under PMAY. Modi also released funds of Rs 3,300 crore to urban local bodies in Gujarat under the Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana (Forelines)
