(Forelines) – On Friday, India’s PM Narendra Modi was the subject of a joint call by the foreign ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
India’s PM was briefed by the Ministers on the fruitful and constructive talks that took place earlier in the day at the 4th Meeting of the India-Central Asia Dialogue, which took place in New Delhi.
India’s PM emphasized that India has always placed a high premium on its relations with the nations of Central Asia. PM Modi presented his vision for increased economic interconnectivity, more connectivity, improved defense and security cooperation, and all-encompassing cooperation in new and developing fields, all of which he said would build on the solid foundation of our traditional people-to-people relations.
In tackling common regional and global issues, the prime minister emphasized that a robust India-Central Asia collaboration acts as a force multiplier.
The terrorist incident in Pagalgam on April 22, 2025, was severely denounced by the Central Asian foreign ministers, who also expressed their support for India’s efforts to combat cross-border terrorism.
For the Second India-Central Asia Summit, which will take place in India, the prime minister invited the leaders of all Central Asian nations.
