India’s PM Modi receives a telephone call from Iranian President Pezeshkian

(Forelines) – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi got a call on Sunday from Mr. Masoud Pezeshkian, the president of Iran, India’s PMO said in a press release.

Iranian President Pezeshkiangave the PM Modi a thorough briefing and expressed his thoughts on the state of affairs in the area, particularly the growing war between Israel and Iran.

PM Modi stated that the recent escalations deeply concern India. The PM made it clear that India supported humanity and peace. The PM emphasized that the best course of action in this situation is to immediately de-escalate the situation and use discussion and diplomacy. He reaffirmed India’s commitment to bringing peace, security, and stability back to the region as soon as possible.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude to President Pezeshkian for his ongoing assistance in ensuring the safe repatriation and return of the Indian community. The two leaders reaffirmed their mutual commitment to keep working to improve bilateral collaboration in a variety of fields, including as people-to-people relations, science and technology, and trade and economic cooperation.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, shared a post on X and stated had a thorough discussion about the current state of affairs in the region with H.E. Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, the president of Iran.

The Prime Minister Modi voiced his profound concern about the recent escalations during the conversation.

PM Modi reaffirmed that de-escalation is essential to maintaining long-term regional peace, security, and stability while highlighting the value of communication and diplomacy.

“Spoke with President of Iran @drpezeshkian. We discussed in detail about the current situation. Expressed  deep concern at the recent escalations. Reiterated our call for immediate de-escalation, dialogue and diplomacy as the way forward and for early restoration of regional peace, security and stability,” PM Modi said in a post on X.
