India’s PM Modi receives a telephone call from the Uzbekistan’s President Mirziyoyev

On Tuesday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a call from Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, India’s Ministry of External Affairs said in a Statement.

On the occasion of India’s 79th Independence Day, President Mirziyoyev sent Prime Minister Modi and the Indian populace his best wishes and congratulations.

The two presidents discussed developments in a number of important sectors of bilateral cooperation, including as people-to-people relations, trade, connectivity, health, and technology.

They also reaffirmed their commitment to deepening the long-standing connections between India and Central Asia and shared opinions on regional and international issues of shared importance.

The two leaders promised to continue in touch.

“Had a fruitful conversation with President of Uzbekistan, Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev. We reviewed the progress achieved in key areas of our bilateral cooperation and reaffirmed our shared resolve to further advance the India–Uzbekistan Strategic Partnership,” India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a post on X.
