(Forelines) – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, had a thorough discussion about the current state of affairs in the region with H.E. Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, the president of Iran.

The Prime Minister Modi voiced his profound concern about the recent escalations during the conversation.

PM Modi reaffirmed that de-escalation is essential to maintaining long-term regional peace, security, and stability while highlighting the value of communication and diplomacy.

“Spoke with President of Iran @drpezeshkian. We discussed in detail about the current situation. Expressed  deep concern at the recent escalations. Reiterated our call for immediate de-escalation, dialogue and diplomacy as the way forward and for early restoration of regional peace, security and stability,” PM Modi said in a post on X.
