(Forelines) – The prime minister of the Republic of Fiji, Sitiveni Ligamamada Rabuka, will travel to India from August 24–26, 2025. His spouse, Sulueti Rabuka, will accompany him. The tour will include senior officials as well as Minister of Health and Medical Services Ratu Atonio Lalabalavu, India’s Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.
Prime Minister Rabuka would be making his first trip to India in his current role. PM Rabuka is planned to meet with Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on August 25, 2025, while in New Delhi. The visiting dignitary will be honored with a lunch hosted by Prime Minister Modi.
It is projected that Prime Minister Rabuka will travel to New Delhi to meet with the President of India. As you may remember, in August 2024, President of India traveled to Fiji.
PM Rabuka is scheduled to give a speech to the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) in New Delhi regarding the “Ocean of Peace,” MEA said.
Prime Minister Rabuka’s visit demonstrates the close and enduring ties between India and Fiji. It underscores both nations’ ongoing commitment to enhance our close people-to-people relationships and further strengthen the bilateral partnership in all areas.
