(Forelines) – On Sunday, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Iran is welcome to contact the US if it want to engage in talks to put an end to their conflict, as per Reuters.
“They can come to us or give us a call if they want to discuss. There is a telephone, you know. In an interview with Fox News’, cited by Reuters, “The Sunday Briefing,” Trump stated, “We have wonderful, secure lines.”
According to Reuters, after Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi left Islamabad after speaking only to Pakistani officials, Trump canceled his envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner’s travel to Pakistan on Saturday, laying a fresh blow to peace prospects.
Despite the lack of U.S. peers, Araqchi has subsequently returned to Pakistan, Reuters report.
