(Forelines) – In an effort to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, U.S. President Donald Trump stated, quoted by Reuters on Sunday that he has “Good conversations” with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
In an interview with Fox News’ cited by Reuters, “The Sunday Briefing,” Trump stated, “We are working on the Russia situation, Russia and Ukraine, and hopefully we are going to get it.”
“I do have communications with him, and I do have conversations with President Zelenskiy, and pleasant conversations,” Trump stated, Reuters cited, declining to disclose the date of his most recent contact with Putin.
“Presidents Putin and Zelenskiy’s animosity is absurd. It is absurd. Furthermore, hate is a horrible thing. He stated, Reuters quoted “Hate is a nasty thing when you are attempting to resolve anything, but it will happen.”
More than a year into his second term, the conflict persists despite Trump’s commitment to put an end to it, which started with a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, as per Reuters.
