(Forelines) – According to CBS News and other local news sources, cited by Reuters that a steel plant in the Pittsburgh metropolitan region exploded Monday, injuring multiple individuals. Firefighters were seen fighting the fire as thick smoke rose from the building.
Josh Shapiro, the governor of Pennsylvania, wrote on the social media site X, quoted by Reuters that his government was communicating with Clairton, Pennsylvania, local officials while they dealt with the incident.
“The scene is still active, and folks nearby should follow the direction of local authorities,” In his letter, he urged readers to join him in praying for the people of Clairton, as per Reuters report.
