Elon Musk:”It was an honour to speak with PM Modi,” looking forward to visiting India

(Forelines) – On Saturday, Elon Musk, Tesla and SpaceX CEO posted on a X that he is looking forward to visiting India later this year,

On Friday, this followed his telephone discussion of the United States billionaire with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“It was an honour to speak with PM Modi. I am looking forward to visiting India later this year!” Elon Musk posted on social media platform X after the call.

The call shows an ongoing dialogue between the two leaders on enhancing coordination in innovation and technology.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi further took to X to give details of their discussion.

“Spoke to Elon Musk and talked about various issues, including the topics we covered during our meeting in Washington DC earlier this year. We discussed the immense potential for collaboration in the areas of technology and innovation. India remains committed to advancing our partnerships with the US in these domains,” according to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted on X.

According to ANI, The conversation establishes upon their prior in-person discussion at Blair House in Washington DC in February current year. During that discussion, Narendra Modi and Elon Musk explored advancing cooperation between India’s and United States entities beyond primary sectors consisting of artificial intelligence, innovation, space exploration, and sustainable development.

Indian External Affairs Ministry had stated in a release after the February discussion, “Prime Minister and Mr Musk discussed strengthening collaboration between Indian and US entities in innovation, space exploration, artificial intelligence, and sustainable development. Their discussion also touched on opportunities to deepen cooperation in emerging technologies, entrepreneurship and good governance.”

During that time, Elon Musk, who further heads the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), was joined by three of his children. Indian Prime Minister Modi had marked their presence, sharing, “It was also a delight to meet Mr Elon Musk’s family and to talk about a wide range of subjects!”

Narendra Modi further posted, “Had a very good meeting with Elon Musk in Washington DC. We discussed various issues, including those he is passionate about, such as space, mobility, technology and innovation. I talked about India’s efforts towards reform and furthering ‘Minimum Government, Maximum Governance’,” reported by ANI.

Elon Musk’s forthcoming visit is assumed to additionally boost India-US coordination in high-tech areas, with possible investments and cooperation on the horizon.
