(Forelines) – Despite a ceasefire in the Iran war, British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper stated on Saturday that the Strait of Hormuz has not yet returned to normal operations. She encouraged Tehran to for international shipping to fully restart, According to Reuters report.
Cooper told Reuters outside a meeting in Antalya, “We are at a vital diplomatic moment with a truce now in place … but we do not yet have normal transit through the strait.”
As per Reuters, she added that it was critical for the world economy to resume shipping via the waterway in order for the truce to become a durable peace.
